Help your child learn to correctly name some parts of animals' bodies: head, eyes, nose, beak, mouth, teeth, neck, stomach, legs, wings, tail. Point to these parts on pets, toys or in pictures, and ask your child to name each part. Making a funny connection between animal parts and human parts (Do you have a beak?) reinforces your child's understanding of that part's function.
