Enlist your child's help in the kitchen by asking him to measure out ingredients for you. He will become familiar with the units of measurement that are most common in the kitchen: teaspoons, tablespoons, cups and quarts. You can also begin introducing him to simple equivalents: one tablespoon equal three teaspoons, one cup equals 16 tablespoons and so on.
