Leave notes around the house for your child and encourage her to do the same for you. This activity encourages her to be an enthusiastic reader and writer. Finding notes is fun and she'll probably like writing them for you to find as well. Try putting them on her pillow, sticking them to the mirror, tucking them under her bowl of cereal or in the pocket of her coat. You can model correct spelling and punctuation for her in your notes.
