Big, bigger, biggest!
Toddlers are working to make sense of the world. One way they do this is by comparing and ordering the things they come across. You can help your child with this by giving him or her the language that goes along with making comparisons. For example, when getting ready for a meal, take out two cups of different sizes and ask, "Do you want the big cup or the smaller one?" Noticing differences and making comparisons gets your child ready for thinking about numbers.
