Summer wish picture poem

This activity encourages your child to listen for rhymes and use context clues to complete a poem. Encourage your child to read aloud (or repeat) the picture words before beginning the fill-in-the-blanks activity. Read the poem aloud to your child and prompt him/her to select from the available words. Read the poem aloud once more when all the spaces have been filled in--or encourage your child to read it aloud to you.
