Any ideas for burning off kid energy on a rainy day?
When you’re stuck inside with a preschooler, it doesn’t take long until you feel like they are bouncing off the walls! Finding safe and creative ways to be active inside can burn off loads of rainy day energy. One of my favorite things to do with my own children is to create an inside obstacle course using pillows, blankets, and toys. I also love making a family band using objects in my home that can be used as instruments (like pots, pans and spoons). We parade around the house playing our instruments and burning energy. During the parade, we copy simple rhythms and try marching to different music styles. Another fun idea is to take turns pretending to be different animals and have the other person guess what you are pretending to be.
